Our Instructors & Staff Members

Our Instructors have spent many years devoted to training in the art of Tang Soo Do and other martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our staff has attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students. Here are a few of America's Best Chatsworth Karate's instructors and other staff members, starting with Mark Cox:

Mark Cox  (6th Degree Black Belt)  Mr. Cox is the owner of America's Best Chatsworth Karate school. He has a 6th degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and holds a Black Belt in Hap Ki Do. He is a expert certified Krav Maga instructor and a Deputy Sheriff. You can learn more about him under our master. Mr. Cox is a family man with four children 3 boys and a little girl. He loves his community and the youth. He strives to build tomorrows leaders. His school has made an impact on 1000's of students here in the valley.

Nathan Carlen  (5th Degree Black Belt)  Nathan Carlen is our head instructor here at Chatsworth Karate. He has reached the rank of 5th Dan Master in American Tang Soo So and is also a certified Krav Maga instructor! Mr. Carlen has been with school since the beginning. He started training with Master Cox at a very young age, between 10 and 11 years old in 1989 and because of his perseverance and loyalty is the highest ranking student under Master Cox. His leadership has helped shape many of the students here.

Kenny Broderick  (Little Dragon Director)  Mr. Kenny has been involved with the Martial Arts (Tang Soo Do ) since the early 80's. He is now a Black Belt here at Chatsworth Karate and the Little Dragons Director. He has shown leadership since the day he signed up with his son Masen. A welcome leader to the Chatsworth Karate instructors.

Alex Bondarenko Alex Bondarenko has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Jeff Vandenburg  (4th Degree Black Belt) Jeff Vandenburg has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Patrick Prager  (4th Degree Black Belt) Patrick Prager has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Aaron Roth  (3rd Degree Black Belt) Aaron Roth has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Victoria Van Zandt  (3rd Degree Black Belt) Victoria Van Zandt has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Mike Waskul  (3rd Degree Black Belt) Mike Waskul has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Maria Casalenuovo  (Little Dragons Instructor) Maria Casalenuovo has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Shanice Hernandez  (Little Dragons Instructor) Shanice Hernandez has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Vanessa Craigmiles  (2nd Degree Black Belt) Vanessa Craigmiles has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Sean Sullivan  (2nd Degree Black Belt) Sean Sullivan has numerous credentials and accomplishments. We will be updating this section shortly to detail them.

Kathy Villar  (Instructor) Kathy is a Black Belt instructor in Tang Soo Do. She is a mother of two boys who both train in our karate program, Kendrick who is 11 years old and holds a 2nd degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do and Nickey who is 8 years old and holds a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tang Soo Do.Kathy has also been involved with Krav Maga for the past 5 years and holds a Blue Belt, her technique and dedication to Krav Maga is second to none.

Chris Crouch  (Certified Krav Maga Instructor) A US Navy veteran and web developer, Chris first became interested in Krav Maga shortly after being married. He and his wife began training together so that he could feel at peace about her safety. Chris has now been with Chatsworth Krav Maga for over 2 years. He has a dedication to both his personal training and the training of the students here. Come and enjoy his class.

Dwan London  (Certified Krav Maga Instructor) Dwan is a driving force for the Moorpark location. Dwan is a family man and resident in the Moorpark area and has been with us since the beginning of our Moorpark Krav Maga.
